Cousin Avi are as far from ‘vanilla’ as you can get. With 2 albums and multiple self-released EPs under their belts and eight years of independent touring across the UK, Europe and South America behind them, (including Brixton, Cafe De Paris, Jazz Cafe & Brownstock, sharing the bill with acts such as, Amy Winehouse, Basement Jaxx, Example & Katy B) the Avi train doesn’t look as though it’ll be resting anytime soon.

2017 saw the release of Cousin Avi's first record in 2 years, 'Take It Away', the band raising all of the production funds purely by crowd funding, using Pledge Music - eventually hitting 148% of their target before a sell out home town release show. A week of BBC airplay on BBC Georgey Tonight as ‘ BBC Introducing artist of the week' followed, along with festival performances, including sharing the bill with Jools Holland.

Having combined his unusual musical upbringing with his main influences, including Jamie Cullum & John Mayer, 21 year old, 3rd generation singer/songwriter Joe Miles has self released 5 EPs, all containing co-writes with Grammy Winning & Brit Award nominated singer/songwriter, Amy Wadge.

In early 2015, Joe hooked up with his brother, Ollie (Producer & Drummer), to self-produce his ‘Home Sound’ EP, resulting in 4 consecutive weeks of BBC Introducing airplay and a chart position of #16 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. They have since continued to work very closely and are currently writing and recording new material including collaborations with John Beck (Corinne Bailey Rae, Paloma Faith), Tim Kellett (James Morrison, ex. Simply Red) & Curtis T Johns (Matt Cardle).

Joe regularly gigs across the UK & Europe with his acoustic & full band line ups, performances of note include a 19-night UK & Ireland tour, supporting Shane Filan (Westlife) with venues including The London Palladium, Olympia Theatre Dublin, Birmingham Symphony Hall and The Liverpool Philharmonic - very special considering Joe spent his childhood  ‘growing up’ in the wings of theatres & music festivals across the UK whilst watching his Grandad, British Jazz legend, Terry Lightfoot perform!
